1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to the Services requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Services ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Hippo a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

5. SMS Features

If you link a phone number to your account, you consent to receive SMS messages from Hippo related to your account activity and content capture. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by unlinking your phone number in account settings.

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
• Transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Services
• Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Services
• Use the Services to infringe the intellectual property rights of others

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and technology comprising the Services — excluding User Content — are owned by or licensed to Hippo. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our name, logos, or trademarks without our prior written consent.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hippo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
